December 12, 2009 -- Central Florida Live filmed an interview with Melissa prior to her performance last night, then stuck around to get some footage from the show for a feature that will air in January on the singer/songwriter.

Host Jennifer Kirkpatrick interviewed Melissa about not only her debut CD, “Waiting,” but topics ranging from her background to her interests away from music and even “If you could pick one artist to tour with, who would it be and why.”

The feature will debut online in January at which is the starting point for what producer Alex Tabaj hopes to eventually get on cable TV.  On their current Internet home, Central Florida Live is airing “teasers” in the lead-up to full content, which will be geared toward everything local including actors, actresses, comedians, models, singers/musicians/bands, events, and even businesses.

“The show is all about giving exposure to all this talent that Central Florida has to offer,” Tabaj said.

A.T. Entertainment is the production company for Central Florida Live, who will cover Tampa (including Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and as far north as Crystal River), Orlando, Ocala/Gainesville, and everything surrounding those areas.  Similar to the path being set out for live shows for Melissa, CFL, whose tagline is “It’s all about the locals,” hopes to eventually branch out to all of Florida.

Keep an eye on and for an announcement once the air date is scheduled for the feature produced around last night’s interview.  The title track from “Waiting” and a few covers are among the songs that were filmed during her show last night.
