February 5, 2010 -- Adding to her already-existing social media, Melissa is now on Twitter. Effective immediately she can be followed there as MelissaBmusic.
The news comes in early 2010, as initiatives continue relative to the promotion of “Waiting,” her debut CD that came out late this past October.
The addition of Twitter comes following Melissa already having popular pages on Facebook and MySpace, plus her official YouTube channel and, of course, this website.
“I’m excited to be a part of Twitter,” Melissa said. “It’s one more option for people to stay involved with updates on the CD and my live shows and I look forward to having friends, family, and fans following me through that means.”
The announcement of the addition of Twitter comes following a week in which Melissa enjoyed significant presence on another website. She has just concluded being the Artist of the Week on MusicTampaBay.com, which completed the trifecta of having previously been an artist of the day and artist of the month.
MusicTampaBay.com had also charted the title track from “Waiting” in the top 50 of their Top 100 Songs of 2009. The CD, which has been purchased by listeners from as far away as California and Japan, is available through iTunes, Amazon.com, CDbaby.com, digstation.com, CDuniverse.com, CDconnection.com, and at her live shows. Accolades such as Artist of the Week can be expected among the items that will be “tweeted” via the popular social networking site Twitter.com.
