November 3, 2009 -- The first copies of Melissa’s CD were sold at last week’s show in Ybor City (Tampa), Florida, now it’s available for online purchase, and the CD release party punctuates all of the excitement surrounding the release.
On this website’s Discography page, there is a link to Melissa’s page on CDBaby.com, which provides the ability to purchase the disc online. This past weekend digstation.com had started selling digital downloads of the individual tracks and the whole album. CD Baby’s digital partners are receiving “Waiting” as well, and soon fans everywhere will have the option of purchasing downloads from the likes of iTunes, Amazon.com (who will also sell the physical disc itself), and many others.
Of course, the CD remains available for sale at Melissa’s live shows too, where generally there’s a better chance than not that you can get yours signed by the artist herself! The next chance comes this Friday, November 6, when a crowd filled with family, friends, colleagues, supporters, and others is expected to pack the auditorium inside Music Showcase in Brandon, Florida, for the CD release party. The event is from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. and admission is by (ticketed) invitation from the artist or her management, or $5.00 at the door.
Additional opportunities to see Melissa and purchase her CD in person continue to be added. Check the Upcoming portion of the Live Shows section of the website, since new dates are being confirmed and added.
The first purchasers of “Waiting” were those who came out to last week’s show (Thu., October 29) that Melissa did in Ybor City (Tampa), Florida, for “BackStage at The Improv.” Right here on MelissaBrethauer.com (in the Video portion of the Multimedia section) you can watch a video from that night of her doing “Cause I Gave You More,” off of the “Waiting” CD. There are other videos from that night of her doing cover songs, on her YouTube channel and her musician pages on Facebook and MySpace. (Visit those pages via the links in the right-hand column.)
The excitement continues now that the waiting for “Waiting” is over.
