August 8, 2011 -- Bookings have been coming in of late, setting the stage (no pun intended) for activity for Melissa in the coming months in various parts of Florida – again.
Melissa has already made her mark in several cities around the Sunshine State, but she’s headed back to two of them and scheduled to perform in another for the first time in the months ahead.
After a quiet summer (her choice), the now 22-year old singer/songwriter will be picking the guitar back up (and likely the piano in one case) for dates that are on her upcoming shows calendar in September and November, with others surely to follow.
Two shows that she did this past April in St. Petersburg have resulted in two more that she’ll do – albeit at a different venue – in the same city over the first weekend in September.
The last weekend of that month Melissa will return to her hometown for a major festival that was a key development on the road to where she is now. Last week the organizers of the 3rd Pensacola Beach Songwriters Festival officially invited her back to perform at the September 28-October 3 event.
She is also now on the lineup for another festival later this year. On Saturday, November 5, Melissa will play at the 11th Annual DeLand Original Music Festival, which will take her to a city she has yet to perform in.
Melissa’s management is also working on securing a return to Alabama for the prestigious Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival, which she had played at last November.
